Living by the statements “100% Faith. 0% Doubt” and “My backup plan is to never backdown”, his journey began in Flint, MI in his family-owned church.
His whose debut was scoring the Full Season of B.E.T.’s “Toya: A Family Affair” after multiple placements on B.E.T.’s “Trey Songz: My Moment” Docu-series. He has found chart success (Japan #5; US #28) , with his self-written, produced, mixed and mastered independent release “1 8 7 9”, which is symbolic of how many miles he drove from the midwest to Hollywood, CA, living out of his Ford Mustang for 7 months. 1879 surpassed over 1 Million Streams this year.

JOE RYAN III INKS DEAL WITH PEER MUSIC III
Global independent music publisher Peer Music and Joe Ryan III’s BedRoc Productions have reached an agreement, in a deal partnering with Grammy Award Winning Singer/Songwriter Donnie McClurkin’s Don Mac Music Publishing, along with Savgos Music, Inc and Joe Ryan III’s TantrumsOnTheKeys Publishing for co-copyright ownership.
The deal grants Joe Ryan III licensed interpolated use of the 1996 gospel classic “Speak To My Heart” written by Donnie McClurkin in the new single “My Heart” by Joe Ryan III featuring rising West African artist Chris Promise . The new single was written, composed, produced, mixed and mastered by Joe Ryan III. It is set to release April 10th, 2024.
Peer Music VP of A&R Tuff Morgan led the way, bringing the record into Peer Music offices for clearance submission. An approval was granted in March 2024, subsequently resulting in a finalized agreement in April.
Ryan III said “It is a huge honor and privilege to partner with Peer Music for this record, especially as an independent artist, with Peer being the global independent, I couldn’t imagine a more destined scenario. I’ve been around the Burbank office many times since 2012 thanks to my relationship with Tuff, so I have witnessed up-close how incredibly inviting, savvy, sophisticated and authentic they are. That being said, seriously, it’s a blessing to finally become a part of anything in any way that is Peer Music related, I’m extremely grateful.
I grew up listening to and singing Donnie McClurkin’s music, many days while driving to my grandparents’ and my parents’ church, so it’s still a bit surreal that Peer has opened this door of opportunity to allow me to use such a gem in the gospel community. I’m in awe that God orchestrated this all and is trusting me with this music. I am humbled and so excited to push great music to the world, that ministers to the heart and soul.”
When Joe Ryan III initially sent the song to Donnie McClurkin via instagram, he responded “You do know that this is FANTASTIC, Joe~!!! Absolutely FANTASTIC~!” Ryan III said “It was unexplainable joy to read that from him as a fan and especially as a creative. It’s a high honor.”
Ryan III also thanks Grammy Award Winning Gospel Icon Aaron Lindsey for his contribution. He texted him asking advice on how to go about clearance for “My Heart”, to which Lindsey responded “Who owns the song?”
Ryan III said “I told him how much that question was such a key element, because it led me to go into my BMI account and research to find who owned the song. Once I saw it was Peer, I was elated because I figured with an incredible person like Tuff being over there, it would at least get a shot to be submitted for clearance. Tuff is and has always been an ear-to-the-streets type of person, that is truly driven by genuinely helping those who have great music, because of his own ability to create and know great music. He has a very high standard and is respected by so many in the industry because of the way he conducts himself and business. He’s always been a mentor and an inspiration to me from day one.”
